100% Tinto Cão. Small production from a single vineyard, this variety is more strongly associated with the north of Portugal but performs excellently at our higher altitudes. The name in English literally means «Red Dog» referring to it’s vigorous growth habit.
Hand-picked fruit naturally fermented in small tanks followed by a long maceration. Aged in new oak barrels for 30 months.
Dense red center. Spicy red fruit notes with a violet overtone. Rich spicy unique fruit, strong tannins but with elegance and long after taste.
