Delibo

Delibo was founded in 2005 with the aim of finding producers that make wine with the full knowledge of and commitment to their environment. We continue to seek these out and learn from our travels and experience. Whilst we have wines that can be considered mainstream, we also find wines and producers that are 'off the beaten track' to some degree. We deal in the main with the independent retail and wholesale sector and endeavour to be flexible to meet the aims of our customers.

We bond at LCB Olympus in Barking form where collections can be made if appropriate.

Team

James Fleetwood

James, who founded the company, started with Oddbins, moved on to Siegel Wine Agencies, Santa Rita and Michael Druitt Agencies. After three months as a cellar rat in two Australian wineries, James returned to the UK and started a consultancy with clients including Delegat’s, Brown Brothers and Novum. Founding and building Delibo as an agency house was a long held goal and natural development.

Interests - real tennis, wine, cooking, property renovation, gentle cycling, the search for his desert island wine.

Johnny Bingham

Johnny worked with the inspirational Mark Kailis at Baldivis Estate in ‘wild’ Western Australia in 1996 (with emphasis on wild). Johnny’s unquenchable passion and fire for great wine families, and drive to bring exciting wines to the world, remains undiminished. Joined the Delibo sales team in Spring 2022 after 25 years with Jackson Nugent Vintners.

Passions - family, friends, wine, whisky, rugby, cricket, books……the sea.

Robert Ewing

Robert joined us in 2023 and was a latecomer to the trade, having spent over twenty years in corporate banking, before he finally surrendered to his passion for wine. He began in 2013, sweeping the floors of Nicolas before managing the flagship store of a royal warrant holder wine merchant in Chelsea, where he further developed his love of exciting wines especially those from the Rhône, Languedoc and South Africa.

David Wright

David Wright ran David Alexander Wine Merchants from 1982 to 1993, a retail outlet in Maidenhead. From there he joined Siegel Wine Agencies for 15 years, becoming Sales Director before the business was bought by Australian Wineries. David remained with ABS as General Manager for ten years. Moved to Delibo in September 2016, to develop sales and marketing.
