To the south of Château Figeac and 15km west of St Emilion, near the banks of the Dordogne, Château Cantenac dates back to 1832. The Roskam-Brunot family has owned the Château since 1937 and the vineyard has gradually expanded to the present 19 hectares, planted to 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are on average 35 years old and annual production is 90 - 110,000 bottles.Having obtained HVE certification in 2019, Madame Nicole Roskam-Brunot handed over the reins to the fourth generation - her sons, Frans, Frederic and Johan in 2020. The Sélection Madame cuvée was first blended in 2000.
